Default Overheating problem

So my issue is, I just put in a new thermostat and bled the system very well even lifted up the front of the car to make the radiator higher than the motor to make sure all the air was out. the car drove fine for a week and a half. and now today i stop at a light and the temp goes up. I get to my work and pop the hood and the bottom hose is ice cold and so are the back hoses for the heater.. so my question is where is the water going?

it seems to be that it is either boiling somewhere and not staying as water to open the thermostat or maybe a bad head gasket.. but i do not smoke or anything to make me think head gasket.

I need ideas. I am supposed to re-tune tomorrow for 700whp.

Thanks.

Make sure radiator cap still has the valve. You might need a new cap..

My bet is that the overflow got too low. That seems to dram a lot of air back into the system.

Also to check head gasket go to autozone and get a pressure tester for the radiator its a rental tool I think our systems are 18 psi pull all of your spark plugs and see if there's any coolant in the cylinder
