Passman's Turbo Build
lol yea dunno who drew that, first problem, cant connect to my new ecu, it was an old usb cord gonna try a new one tomorrow, it came with 3 cords, none are what i need, just usb to usb male to male.
went back out the garage at 2 am bc I knew it was something stupid, had to set my self as administrator in aem infinity tuner, then I was able to connect to my ecu, now I have to work out why the start up wizard didn't wanna work...never is easy right
well i officially have the worst luck ever, got the car running like a champ, idling at 1200 like a f@#ken sewing machine, then as i would depress the clutch over the next few minutes i started getting a grinding noise, turned it off, started again and now when i depress the clutch its getting worse, like its holding it back from starting, i started it with the clutch in and quickly let out and got it started and it runs great, now if i press the clutch at all its making noise, looks like the throw out bearing, i never installed a clutch stop with my v160 and i fear trying to start the car has ruined my throw out bearing, we did a good amount of cranking b4 we got it running, but had no grinding or issues then, has anyone had issues with the v160 tob? possibly a flywheel bolt backed out? im not sure, all i know is it has to come outta the car, i really cant win, tune was wends, looks like i have to postpone now, really sucks when everything really came together over the last few days and i got it running so nice.. i wanna cry
For f@#k sake Matt, I've never met you in person but I feel for you like no other right now. If only I weren't 6 hours upstate and could provide some help.
When starting the car, do you depress the clutch?
EDIT: Just re read, I'm not sure exactly what setup you're using for the V160, but I know with other push style TOB's that most twins use, you can easily over extend the pressure plate, to the point of causing damage. This is especially important with start up with a dry engine, and why it's recommended that you wire around the clutch safety switch so the vehicle can be started without the clutch.
I know for a fact my twin will over extend the plate if I go past my clutch stop, you can almost feel it in the pedal.

been dismantling for the past 2 hours, cars up, turbo set up is off, drive shaft off, everything is coming outta the car, disconnecting everything, my buddy has an uninstalled clutch set up with tob that im gonna swap in tomorrow, gonna make it to this tune, illestrolla that sounds like exactly what happened to me, lotta cranking with it depressed to get it it started, mainly bc i had my injectors listed as 2000s, we wernt getting injector pulse til we switched to the stock 330 cc injector setting, then it fired right up, but it was a few mins of cranking, so what can people with this set up never stay on the clutch? thats ridiculous, pretty pissed but im gonna get this thing together
