What intake gasket are you using and is the melted piston melted on the intake valve side?

A vacuum leak under boost will melt piston like that.

Exactly. I've had 2 FI setups (much weaker than Siadam's) so far and still can't stop thinking about buying a different setup just for the fun of bolting it on and seeing what happens. FI is an addiction, not just a solution to small Honda engines.

My guess would be a hotter intake charge if that was the case. You(I'm assuming) are using a MAP so it won't lean or richen the fuel like a MAF setup. However your turbo is working harder to maintain boost and going out of it's efficiency range.
