Default Please explain why SC or TC is better.

I'm new to FI forum.

Could someone please point out the pros and cons of FI, SC v TC?

In particular, which would is safer (ie. less likely to harm the engine)?

You can get beat up posting this question this has been debated, evaluated, drug through the mud etc... alot and if the search didn't suck so bad I would tell you to go there.
A stock Supercharger system will overall be less harmfull to your engine than a Turbo setup.

man you been here for like 3 years, you think you learn how to search by now...... but yea sc is less harmful as you'll only see real power when in higher rpm as turbo is all through the power band......

I still protest against the 'less harmful' comment. A properly tuned and driven turbo S should be no more harmful than an SC S. It's just that having a turbo gives more potential to abuse, and many cut corners.

I do agree on that point - I guess your right foot has more to do with it than anything

Turbo: Faster; comes with lots of headaches.

SC: Not as fast; little to no headaches.

There u have it, in a nutshell.

I have had both setups and good not agree with you more. With that being said, my CTSC @ 9psi vs my T3/T4 @ 7psi there is no comparrison in terms of straight line power. But it has cost me more $$$ and head ache, and I spend lots of extra $$$ to not ''cut corners''.
