Thumbs down Possible to change SC pulley when mounted?

Just got my SC mounted and torqued down... and I changed the pulley to a 10psi one before install. Turns out I mounted it backwards  which is making the belt hit the "L" shaped mount. I'm having frustration hot flashes....

Does anyone know if its possible to change the pulley with the SC still mounted on the engine? I really don't want to have to remove the entire bracketry again

Give it a try. I dont have any experience with the vortec kit. But with my CTSC I had to looses the bracket and pull the blower away from the motor about an inch.

u have to removed most of the bolts on the bracket, or ur pulley bolt can't come all the way out, because of ur valve cover blocking it..

maybe u can try to removed the valve cover....
i haven't done that thought...

Yeahs thats the problem with the CTSC setup. SOS kits you do not have to do that.

I would just remove the bolts holding the bracket to the mounting plates. This should give you enough space to remove the pulley and not have to completly unbolt and remove the blower. Also handy if you have oil lines so you wont have to remove those either.

I was able to change the pulley on my comptech kit without completely removing the blower. I did disconnect the aftercooler and the air filter&tube. I cannot speak for the vortech though. FYI don't forget to loosent the pulley before releasing belt tension.
