Default Possible to use Aquamist

Okay i am pricing building a custom turbo kit, just to know wehat kind fo budget to shoot for. I have been reading that a few people have gone the custom route, and tehy say one fo the worst parts is geting piping made for the FMIC. Not only this, but FMIC's arent exactly cheap.

now my idea was to have one pipe, going from turbo straight to intake manifold, with aquamist injection, rather than have boost drop from an IC as well as the added expenses.

I knwo a few peopel who have amde their own aqwuamist systems to aid the IC in cooling, but ahvent heard of anyone going straight water injection. so is it possible, and if so is it practical, especially for a DD?

Being an Audi TT owner with a friend who uses the Aquamist system in his TT with a FMIC. I don't know if it can be used in lieu of one. However, it can be used with success with a side mount or smaller intercooler

BTW, a co-worker that is overlooking my shoulder on my 2nd post here says "HI"

Water injection is a great form of cooling but it has two drawbacks. It is heavy (a litre of water weighs a kilogram) and it is finite (so when it runs out you have no cooling).

I would strongly suggest if you want a short charge path you should look at an Air-Water cooler like the Comptech and Vortech SCs use. You could supplement with water injection if you like.
