It's going to be extremely close but I'm hoping with pie cuts it's going to work out. I have a backup plan if pie cuts don't pan out though.

Test fit test fit test fit... first up check clearance for piping.

2 1/2" hot side

3" cold side

I am by no means a pro and only had about 6 hours of self taught on my tig machine. But man do I love this thing. Got a lil hot on the verticals but live n learn. Big props to my neighbor for running the foot pedal while I melted these in. Tandem TIG welding is interesting.

And now that we know the piping fits. Marked up the mounting system for the "floating" intercooler which is nutserted to the frame rails with M8 hardware.

That's it for today, time to get back at it.

Thanks guy! It's your lucky day for more pics...

Finished mocking up the piping today. Off to my buddies to tack it and then test fit one last time. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

AHHHH, I love it. I'm real excited to see what kind of numbers you pull out with the 6266. Depending on what the EFR 9174 does with my retune, I might end up going with a 6266, 6466 or some custom comp. If you have time, you should get an exhaust gas backpressure sensor that way you can tune your exhaust housing to your goals.

Also, seeing your engine painted black definitely makes me want to paint my built block black as well.

What color are you going to powdercoat your charge piping?

When are you expecting to have this thing running?

I love how we both were thinking the same thing.

I'm excited to see what the 6266 does too, and hoping the 1.15 exhaust housing isnt too laggy. If it is I will replace it with the 1.00 though. I will look into the back pressure sensor though. Care to elaborate on how it helps with the housing? I'm looking to make 450-500 on pump gas, and 650 to 700 on 114 octane.
The black paint is nice but it is a chore to keep clean. Charge pipe and intercooler will be getting anodized gloss black along with the radiator.
Hoping to have the car running and tuned no later than June. I work away from home so I'm only home 50% of the time, I wish I could work on this thing every night and it would of been done months ago.

I got a few more pics to update this thing with, my buddy that's doing my aluminum welds just sent me these:

And this is my first attempt at welding aluminum on some left over scrap. Super fun, but I wasn't ready to trust my skills on the center piece of my engine bay.
