This vband lining up nonsense is really causing problems for me. A tiny leak between the mani and turbo
It helps to have a second person hold the turbo flush against the manifold while you tighten the clamp.
Having an extra set of hands for this part is crucial, but even with that it took a good 3 or 4 tries to get mine lined up perfectly.

I agree I had my ex help me and it made things easy because of her small hands. another option is taking the turbo and manifold out the car line it up perfectly and tighten the vband just enough to where it can still rotate with some force for adjusting.

The tial vband clamp has a very shallow v-groove so it can be tricky securing the flanges together perfectly with the clamp. The best way to align the turbine inlet flange is to use the supply non-locking nut on the clamp and turn the nut with your finger while you rotate the turbo back and forth on the mating surface as you're slowing tightening the clamp, the male to female face will quickly line up. The trick is to get the clamp tight enough initially to hold up the turbo (having an extra hand would make it simpler)

Once the vband flange is fully mated, tighten the non-locking nut just enough so that the turbine housing can still be rotated with a little bit of effort. Install the downpipe and align it with the exhaust before going back to fully securing the v-band clamp with the locking nut. If you have any other questions just give us a call or pm.

Also the hyper gate comes with a 7psi spring.
