Is the black intake piping the textured powdercoating you guys will be offering? If so, I think I'll just go with that for everything. Looks good.

 

Jason, I was actually in a rush to get the display together so I just flat black rattle canned everything. The parts will eventually all be powdercoated. The textured black option is very nice too. It's more durable than a gloss and very easy to keep clean.

With that said though, I would go with whatever color you like best.

Side note: the intercooler pipes (fingers crossed) may get here by the end of next week. I'll let you know as soon as we have them in hand.

For a rattle can black it looks pretty good! I've decided to go with the textured black. I'm also going to keep my valve cover and powdercoat it at another time. I don't want to spend time taking it back off (simple as it may be). I'm testing the kpro tonight, making sure the coolant system is air free, and then starting to tear down.

Possibility of the kit being together for the open house? Outside of the powdercoating of course.

From what I can tell....

Turbo drain line and Oil in the pan gets pumped to the oil cooler.
Then back into the block where the tct is

 

hmm.. i wonder if ptuning guys did test on it.. m sure they have but what would be the possible issue there?

 

That's a very good concern and we were expecting to answer that question sooner or later.

The oil return actually goes to the hole used to pull the pin on the tct. It does not affect the tct operation in any way. Keep in mind that the scavenging pump is only handling oil flow and not pressure, so the oil is returned through that hole at a "theoretical" zero psi.

Also, the oil is dumped behind the timing chain guide assembly so it does not alter the normal oiling pattern of the timing chain either.

If we wanted to we could have simply returned the oil back to the oil drain plug. The pump would have no problems doing so. However, we wanted to be able to offer an optional "passive" oil cooling system that would not affect the engine's operating oil pressure.
