My stock 4.10 pinion gear did not fail, but had cracked on each tooth, stock diff, Inline pro Stage 1 turbo with about 400HP.

I'm sure there are a multitude of reasons why the pinion gear had cracks. Clearances, bearing wear, and more.

I went with 3.63 gears, and Ben's upgraded housing with a solid pinion spacer. New bearings. Time will tell.

The diff will most likely go before the trans but once you reinforce one, the next weakest link will break.

Solution: Rebuild everything with adamantium.

I will be going Puddy when I'm ready to upgrade my diff or if I need to unexpectedly. I called Puddymod with a couple questions, Ben told me he was a little busy and would call back. Couple hours later he did. I spoke with Ben on the phone for at least an hour and he answered every question I had regarding driveline. Call him, he'll definitely point you in the right direction for your goals.

How do you like the 3.63 gear set?

Quite simply, I love it. With my turbo setup, I have far fewer traction problems. The reduced RPM at cruise is a wonderful change, and each gear pulls slightly longer, reducing the frantic shifting and allowing the turbo to stabilize.

^^ what did you run time/trap speed? And how much whp? I think puddymod will be my next upgrade. With stronger axles. Or maybe even the r200 diff conversion from inlinepro
