Default Question about intake for inline pro turbo

Is it ok that the intake is smaller than the actual inlet of the turbo? My shop said it would be ok, but i am not sure. I did see another set up on the board where they said the smaller piping didnt lose power, but i just want to make sure. Also does it matter if the filter is foam vs. something like the aem dry flow.

Here are pics for reference:

Thanks in Advance

once it's not toooo much smaller i would THINK it would be fine...in theory shouldn't the turbo pull as much air as it needs anyway?

I think its like 3in vs 2.5in. I Think your right about only pulling as much as it needs. I really want to make sure its ok though

Are you using your old greddy one? Thats how mine is set, but JE said I may want to change it if I start upping the boost but at 9 psi he did not think it was a big deal. You could just run a coupler to a filter. I got a used inline pro one for my car.

Yah i am using the old greddy one, i think i may rig something up. What do u guys do with the 2 hoses attached to the intake arm. I know one of them you can just put a filter on the valve cover, what about the second one?
