Without wanting to reopen the argument isn't Rob! running 772hp with a"cheesy 3mm headgasket"?

Both ways are "proper" at coming to the same result. (lower compression)

true true Aus... Didnt mean to kill your new thread already.
His S2000 isnt even boosted anyway. LOL

I will be having a new short block built in the near future also as a back up. Looking to cheap out with Brian Crower rods or possibly stock rods though to save some cash on the build. Probably going to have Mike put it together for me.

Oh sorry you got a vortech kit now...

Back to topic..
Very interested in seeing how this overbore and new to us pistons work out. I think you should shoot for more power though.

what;s the deal with these pistons? And how much can the f20 be bored? i might build a spare low comp motor with the blown block i have!

there is a special honing procedure as listed in the repair manual. if it is followed i think your motor should hold up. if not, ohh well a new set of pistons and some sleeves!

good luck man!

i'd call them up and ask about a looser clearance.. i know htey probably dont expand as much as a std forged piston, but 3thou on a boosted motor is kinda scary.
