In theory you could in fact change the pistons with the engine still in the car . Thats assuming that there is no damage/wear to the cylinder walls . Of course you would have to use stock size pistons and verify piston to wall clearance . This would be a very cheap option .
They have 87, 87.5 and 88mm pistons.
