Default Return line problems

so ive been working on my sc-61 s2k for about a year now and ive run into just about every problem one could possibly encounter with such a project. however, im down to my last problem and it's the damn return line on my turbo. initially i ran the line directly from the turbo straight down to the pan on the left side of the pan if you were looking at the car from the front. The oil level at that point was apparently too high and the oil didnt drain properly and i ended up destroying my turbo trying to diagnose the wrong problems. anyway, i have my turbo back rebuilt and im wondering what the best way would be to construct my return line so that it gravity feeds properly into a section of the oil pan that isnt under the oil level. for reference, my turbo sits directly to the left of my engine if you're looking at the car from the front with the compressor housing towards the front of the car and the exhaust housing towards the back. it's a precision sc-61..ill post pictures if necessary.
