RICH AFR IN VTEC
recently my afr has been really rich after 6k rpm,. Ive never been really able to hear or feel my vtec cross over after i turbo charged it, but it is still pretty hot here in south texas and i was tuned in the winter january i think. ive been trying to feel and hear slowly if my vtec is crossing over but i just cant tell, im running aem ems v2 and have the vtec set at stock engagment.
is there a way to be sure my vtec is engaging?

If you hook up your laptop and open AEM Tuner check if switch 4 is turning on during vtec, this is the stock oil pressure switch signal. If it's going on there is a good check your vtec is working. The only way this would turn on, and VTEC not work is if there is a mechanical problem in the head.

switch 4, cool. ill be checking this as soon as im off work.
thanks
If you had an oil pressure problem, that would mechanically prevent the car from going into vtec. The engine management can tell the car to engage vtec, but if there isn't sufficient oil pressure, it wont be able to. This can be cause from problems in the block, my specific problem was rod bearing wear and the 3rd main bearing about to spin.
