Default S/C Belt Question

Hey guys. Recently I got the Vortech Kit installed and I love it but the belt on the sc seems to not want to stay tight. We've done the procedure to tighten it (loosen the pulley nut, tighten with the adjuster bolt and then tighten the pulley nut) but it seems that the belt will get loose again with about 20 minutes of driving. Has anyone else had problems like this and any advice on how to remedy it? Thanks in advance!

Might be a bad belt. Replace it with a gator belt... or gator back, or whatever it's called.

That's what I was going to say. Use a gator belt and also some people have said they spray it with 3m adhesive. I've never tried that but I've heard a lot about it.

Just ordered some gatorback belts, hopefully that will fix it. I've went through two other belts already haha.

Has anyone had problem with the belt tensioner for the vortech kits? I don't think the two belts I've had were both defective.

I never had that problem before. U can also try to use locktight on the bolts to see if that helps.

Something is wrong. Only new belts should stretch and that only for the first hour or two.
