Default S/C belt tensioning

I have adjusted the tension after 500miles after installation, but it seems like it needs to be adjusted again.
When and how many times do you had to adjust the S/C belt tension??
btw I have Vortech
TIA

I've had my Vortech on for almost 2 years. I re-tightened the belt after about 400 miles and have never needed to touch it since. The "jam locknut" can be feel "odd" when tightening and it can make you think it's tight when not, so there is a possibility it could slip. There is a lot of force on that pulley and if the locknut is not tight, then the adjusting mechanism must take the brunt of all the tensioning duties. Some have reported this mechanism to break. I'm suspecting that it may be due to the jam locknut not being tight enough to do its job.
