Have been looking at the toda 2.2 stroker kit and that increases compression to 12.7 : 1 is that acceptable for FI or too high cos i havent got a clue!!!!
That would be an overkill IMH

with a 12.7:1 CR and a standard S/C boost of 5.5psi will get you an effective CR of around 17.5. This will be equal to a standard 11:1 CR engine running around +9PSI.
If you do a search there is a well expained thread about Low CR + High Boost engine VS High CR + Low Boost engine

excellent thanx for the info!

am told that the spoon engine compression is 12.1:1 so the stroker would give the engine a higher compression!

I think am going to swap the ecu and run about 7 p.s.i. that works out about 17.7 effective CR?

If you want to enter the F/I world, I suggest you sway to a standard engine and get a stock S/C to start with.

If you had to boost the spoon engine you will need at least a standalone engine management, larger injectors and a proper FPR. You will need to tune the car too..

You have to ask yourself if there are good tuners nearby who is able to tune it for you ?

The only system that wont "need" tuning is the basic out of the box Vortech and Comptech.
I would NOT consider raising the compression if you want FI at all. It's cheaper (and "better") to raise the boost than the compression. GL.

Don't quote me on this but if am not mistaken spoon injecotrs are same like stock = 360cc

550cc or above will be good... but you still need some type of management to control them.

Stock injectors will be fine for 7psi. If you raise to 9+ youll need bigger injectors. The more PSI (air), the larger injectors (fuel capacity) youll need. And with any injectors larger than stock, you need to tune.
