Default Safety mods for the turbo S

The drag strip has been plagued with bad winter/early spring weather so I putted the car in the workshop for more safety mods. The surge tank will help on quick take off at the drag and hard fast corners for circuit sprint later on

The dual 044 Bosch fuel pumps will prevent fuel shortage if one pump gives up

My next safety mods will be a roll cage and a set of F50 Brembo brake.....and that will be it for the s2k project

Are these pumps constantly running? or will the second one come up under boost?

This is how the system works,
The walbro intank is used as a feeder pump for the surge tank
the 2 bosch pumps pressurise the fuel system
the fuel pressure is regulated by the sard fpr
Unused fuel is returned back to the surge tank
Excess fuel from the surge tank is returned to the main tank.
The surge tank will always be full and there will always be a constant supply of fuel to make sure the car will never run lean during hard take off or corner.
The whole setup is designed to bolt onto the factory fuel system so there is little modification to the factory fuel systeml. For a stock setup, you basically need to unplug some of the factory fuel components, plug this setup into the remaining fuel components on the car and use some fittings to hook it up to the fuel rail. I have after market fuel rail so it's a tad easier.

So yes, all 3 pumps work all the time.

I've also upgraded my injectors to 1200cc sard injectors.
Getting ready for more serious SAFE boost
