SC'd S2000 for track use
I've just been to the track with my Vortech SC'd S2000 running 9psi boost
The engine seems to be fine. but I did get some misfiring when the engine was really hot.
COuld this be from the wrong choice of spark plugs? I'm using BRK7E's at the moment, I think i should go one step colder.
Mates at the track suggested me an oil cooler and alloy radiator to push the car further at the track.
I've got ohlins coilovers, cusco 4pt halfcage + 4pt harness, cusco 1.5way lsd, 4.44 final drive. The car handles the way i want it to.
What are people's recommendation for my next upgrade?
Cooling?

What engine management are you running? You could look into cooling mods like the fan switch, thermostat, and hondata IMG. Im wondering if you are still running the vortech FMU though. If so, I would upgrade to the AEM EMS, 750cc Injectors, and a tune. Maybe you just didn't mention it though, because most people running 9 lbs dont just recalibrate the FMU.
sorry didnt see your other thread about the EMS. Look into a mugen fan switch and thermostat. Maybe look into the Koyo radiator (although I would search to see if it is even more efficient) and a Hondata IMG. the car I am picking up tomorrow has all of these mods.
Actually, I have found the stock radiator to be quite good for the occasional HPDE track day. I have had no problems with coolant temperatures. I would consider an oil cooler prior to a larger radiator. You can get a tru-cool for a good price and buy the fitting separately at any performance shop.
Enjoy it man. I love the worry free performance my supercharger setup has given me. I admit, turbo guys are faster. There's no question about it. But, at our boost levels, we are still making 150whp more than stock and it's totally trouble free. I love that.
Cheers!
