really? i haven't really read over the kit instructions much yet, why don't they replace the pump?

My suggestion is to flip the IC over the other way that way the port on the top side of the double pass HX is as close to the top of the core as possible.
The way it is in that picture ( unless you pre fill the HX with the ports up and not leak any fluid attaching everything else) you are not using the XH to its full capacity as there will be a very big air pocket in the top half.
A better design would to have the lower port in the middle of the end tank and the top port coming in from the top.
Same suggestion applies to the larger upgraded SOS FMHX as it also has similarly placed water ports.
Another thing you may want to work on the way you have your water ran.
You need to have the systme plumbed to ensure largest Log mean temperature difference in the Aftercooler.
FMHX outlet> pump > After cooler inlet (flow in to the after cooler must be in a counter flow setup to maximize heat transfer) After cooler outlet >FMHX
This maximizes LMTD in the after cooler and water mass flow through the after cooler
And maximizes the water dwell time in the FMHX to get the water temp as close to ambient as possible
Also it is better to have the pump draw off of the lowest port on the after cooler.
Even though it is minimal; Hot water does have a convection current upwards in the larger end tank (minimal in this configuration due to water flow because of the pump). But can have some effect and this will ensure you are getting the coldest water in to the pump inlet adn thus the aftercooler.

i see what you are saying. i could have turned it around and used it the other way but im not really worried about it. i dont track the car at all so temps arent a big deal for me. Also i dont have water running thru there but i have coolant running thru it.
Is there any board members here with just the SOS stage 1 kit and the rest of the car stock? Looking to pick up this kit relatively soon.. but I need some questions answered. Please PM me if you have time to chat about your kit.
Thanks!
