Default Sidewinder turbo and intake pipes

I have mase turbo kit with a GT35R, its a sidewinder so sits above the cross-member and in front of the block. I was thinking about relocating the air filter to the faux vents or further away, however this would introduce bends in the piping and wondering if its actually beneficial and if the bends will cause any power drop or any other negative effect?

Thanks

doesn't the mase kit have the filter on the left side of the engine bay? If so a large diameter pipe will be needed to keep from having a restriction. I would think as long as you don't add more than a 90 degree bend you should be ok. in for results

You could try to use ducting from the front bumper to bring the cold air into the engine bay towards the filter. From there you could go as far as making an induction box to house the filter to separate it from ambient temps of the engine bay.
