Elite, what head stud did you use and how did you torque them?
The only company that makes head studs for s2000 is ARP!!!

yeah i went threw 3 cometics and they ALL failed between the cylinders.... and they cracked on the outer layers....

i am also using arp headstuds along with honda torque specs and sequence did the same with the copper and its been running fine however i havent gone past 20 psi although i did spike 30 a couple times on the dyno and its still all good....

dont forget to shave off the top of the timing chain cover when you do the 3mm head gasket or you will have oil leak and posibly another headgasket problem....

also use copper spray on both sides of the gasket let it get tacky and drop it on

also intake manifold gasket anything made out of plastic like the hondata intake gasket are garbage lol i got coolent leaking threw the gasket right into cylinder #4 due to the intake runner and the actual whole that feeds cold coolent to the head being side by side and sharing the same gasket.... use the oem intake gasket along with a good sealer

trust me i have had alot of experience with coolent in my cylinders and lots of hours of trying to figure out why.... such stupid things like the intake gasket to my new hypertune intake manifold being warped on one corner cost me lots of late nights and i had to send everything to the machine shop again to make sure EVERYHTING WAS truely flat including my new hypertune intake mani lol

ohh and dont use maps from ppl on the internet some come with timing 180 degrees off lol and cause your starter to snap off in the tranny housing between the flywheel and the bell housing just get the set up raedy and tow it to the tuners will save you lots of headaches... lol

and on another note if you are running smaller bore like stock or below 89mm you can order a copper gasket with a built in "o ring" which i havent tried yet because i have a 89 bore and with that bore there is not enuff room on the gasket to have an "o ring" placed on the outer diameter of the cylinder

to me this is a good option to try instead of sending the block out to get o ring'd and all that work....

I've used AEBS headstud with my previous engine. I am using the ARP with my current 2.47L

ARP revised their torque spec to 80ft-lbs. Overtorque them to the honda spec may (and has been reported) lead to headgasket failure.
