Pretty active thread today!

Well to answer the question, I use the 2step launch control to make it easier to be gentile on my differential, if that makes sense. With the gas floored I have to only concentrate on one pedal and it makes it easier to ease into the launch rather than dumping it. Plus its easier to keep the RPMs up so I do not bog down.

I agree, my time was 1 full second slower than the other car with the same trap, which means if the 1/4 mile was long I would have beat him. (I was catching on him). I think slicks would slow my trap speed down a bit, but I can also make my wheels smaller in diameter and make up the MPH drop. However, to do all that is expensive and not worth it in my eyes.

I'd be more concerned about your 1-2 and 2-3 shift than your launch. Judging from the video, that is the most shock in the whole run.

That's pretty respectable. But atmosphere temp and elevation play a key roll in 1/4 mile times. I'm happy with the 12.60. I do not think Ill go back til next year when I have some tread on my tires or more power.
