Default SOS/COMPTECH/VORTECH owners...

I am thinking of installing an AEM Oil temp sensor to run with my AEM EMS. The problem is that I have the COMPTECH SC (N1000) and the oil return from the blower goes where the oil drain is on the oil pan.

So, where are you guys mounting the temperature sensor? If your drilling holes in the pan, how low are you drilling the hole? Please post pictures if you have one.

I just have a sandwich plate and have the sensor threaded in one of the 1/8th inch NPT holes.

I know it's not as accurate as having it threaded directly in the block but it was convenient.

I wouldn't put it in the oil pan, stick it where the oil pressure warning light is mounted.

Hmm, so the sandwich plate for the oil filter is where you guys are mounting your oil pressure and oil temperature gauges?

Isnt the oil filter housing the first place after the oil pump that the oil travels to? And then to the factory oil pressure sensor?

Any issues with the glowshift adapter? How about the Greddy? I think I'm going to buy one right now. How is the clearance with both sensors installed when removing the oil filter?

Is there a way to use an AEM coolant temp sensor for oil pressure? It is not a 1/8 npt, at least I don't think it is.

If you do buy one of these, do you mind posting up some pics and impressions afterwards? Maybe even where you got it from?

I currently have 1 oil temp sensor in place (in a weird location) and have capacity for 1 more that I haven't figured out where to stick yet.

Thanks,
J

I had the greddy, then switched to a glowshift when I installed my oil cooler. Greddy was hard to get it not to leak, but my glowshift doesn't leak when I get it tight.
