Default Sos vs track forged

OK, I know there are a ton of Turbo vs supercharger threads out there. This is not meant to be one of them. This is to help aid me in what would work better for me. OK, so my s2k is my second vehicle and I only daily drive it on nice days in the spring/summer, which in south Dakota, is like 4I months and that's not counting rain. I use it for that, the very occasional autox day (non competitive), and drives to scenic areas (sometimes a day or two drive). Also I sometimes travel for work and would like the car to be sound enough to get me around if I wanted to take it instead of my tundra. I would likely upgrade either further down the line when I have more money saved up. There also aren't alot of tuners or even shops in my area. Sooooo.......
SOS 1200 with all upgrades including id1000cc's
or
trackforged upgraded 3076r

Which would be the best for what I've stated?

Random thoughts:
How often does the water pump for the cooler fail on the SOS kit?
How often would the oil pump fail on the SOS kit fail?
What to people refer to as "vibrations" on turbos?
How much would heat really be an issue on the tf kit?
I have a company trip coming up in July in Oregon which is where trackforged is, so I could do it as a one stop shop.
Turbo is more expensive than the SOS kit by a little.
I already have a Berk header for my setup if I go blower.

Opinions? Comments?

I've been running the SOS kit for over 3 years. I am still on the original water pump without any issues. There is no oil pump that comes with the SOS kit.

IMHO If I was to go FI with my second S, (my first S had a Comptech SC) I would go with the Trackforged kit. Although I have not see the SOS kit in person, I have seen a few Trackforged kit and it's capability. It's a great kit and the guys at Track Forged are very helpful.

OK sorry. I typed this when I was tired. In the middle of travelling right now. I meant the self lubricated one which have had the blower take a shit and then the other known issues with the other shared oil option where it has had issues too and a sticky on this site has recommended to go with the sl option. Kind of a double edged sword if both have had failures.

Also if the water pump went bad, how would you figure it out before it did anything adverse?

^if it died, you wouldnt hear it before startup like you always do.

as for turbo/sc. if the car is a fun car that you dont need max reliability from and you dont mind the extreme noise from a turbo car with some sort of high high high flowing exhaust, I would say turbo would be the way to go.

If you want a bump in power, oem style power-band, great reliability, and something that can still be driven to run errands without getting annoying, go SOS.

i was turbo years ago, and when i had the money to do it again, i went SOS stg2 mostly because i didnt want/need 500hp and i did want/need reliability. That being said, if i had another car and the S was a spare fun car, i would have a turbo setup of some sort.

Not sure what EMS you plan on using, but if my wster pump went bad, then I would know because my AEM serial gauge would be flashing red indicating the AIT is over the set threshold. Also, as mentioned above, you can hear the pump before hitting the startup button. If you listen carefully, then you can hear the fluid moving through the heat exchanger (on mine anyways). What are the issues with the oil-fed blower? My self lubricated blower is at Paxton right being exchanged for a oil-fed version (but a 1200), LOL.

If you're truly looking for a car (like myself) that is a beast on the highway and track then go with a turbo hands down. If you want something that makes your S somewhat quicker go with a supercharger. I'm speaking from experience of owning a GSR-T hatch and having my S supercharged with an SOS kit. I love the raw power of a turbo and I can't take this supercharger off my car any quicker.lol. As far as reliability I think a turbo requires maybe a bit more maintenance which is checking your oil weekly if you have blow by and keeping an eye on your AFI gauge.
