I don't know what something in the exhaust might be, give me an idea...
I was referring to a possible gasket that has moved and is possibly lodged some where causing a restriction.

The idea that valve timing could cause this is interesting. I have adjusted the valves before but the valve timing has never been intentionally changed. In fact, the head has never been removed so I expect that the valve timing is the same as when the car left the factory.

Has anyone experienced or heard of valve timing being off and causing higher than anticipated boost pressure?
Talked with the guys from SXM over dinner to night about this.

Pappy had a very good thought on valve timing specifically the intake side.

How far can the intake cam shaft timing be off before piston to valve contact?

He said that this sound familiar to something he has seen in the past on supercharged Miatas where the intake cam timing was off by 8 degrees.

Has anyone dyno'd an S2000 at APP and seen if their Dynojet reads high/low/average?
No S2000 but seen many Civic's Mustang's and Camaro's dynod there and they all say it reads about average

The cam timing point is moot. Neptuner's car is on a stock PCM with a Ultimate e-manage. The car isn't even going to start with the cams out of time with a stock PCM.

The valves would have to be horribly misadjusted to effect the valve lift enough to effect boost. The bigger problem would have been the burned valve seats last year when the SC went on.

Neptuner can you measure your nose pulley for me?
I measured the nose pulley diameter at about 2.70" (68.6mm). I don't know if that is what it supposed to be or not. It is what came on the blower when I got the kit.

Exhaust gaskets from the collector to the muffler look fine. I have never removed the exhaust manifold (header) so I have not seen the condition/position of it's gasket. When I install the Rick's header next week I will have a chance to check this area out.

Last summer just before TGPR SESM, I checked the valve clearances and found all to be either in spec or within .002" of spec. I made slight adjustments to the ones that were out of spec. I saw no discernable change in boost pressures after the valve adjustment.

I originally was using the K&N air filter and intake plumbing that came with the kit. The filter was rubbing too much in the firewall so I changed the filter and the plumbing. I am now using a K&N X-Stream Air Filter PN RX-4140 and added an elbow. This eliminated the rubbing but I saw no change in boost.

I get 10-11 psi with the 135mm pulley I was getting 6-8 psi with the 126mm pulley.

I think Neptuner's kit shpped before I had SOT build the 135mm and 145mm pulleys for me.
William - It's been a long time since we last communicated. I hope you and your SOT supercharged S2000 are doing fine.

My kit shipped in June 2007. I got the 126mm crank pulley ( I know for sure since I have measured it). What are you running for a header and cat/test pipe?

It has been a while, the last year has been quite crazy - lots of personal changes.

My kit is running perfect - now have about 29k miles on it.

I am running stock exhaust, Science of Speed Test Pipe, BB-Triflo exhaust. I saw no change in boost between the OEM CAT and the test pipe.

I am at a loss to explain why you are seeing so much boost.....
