Sorry if I missed it but I assume the 5857 was BB? Ill take it that it is SP as well.

From what I read the new billet turbos shine at higher psi levels, so on race gas I'm sure you'll have good results.
Not ball bearing

actually i took a log of the spool in 6th gear. 9 psi by 3650 rpms.

proof:

Not bad at all. I bet the 30R outspools that turbo. I think I can get full boost under 3500 in 6th. Would have to log it. What do you think a 30R would do on the same boost ? Im curious about the new precision turbos.

Don't fret, I have dynojet in town I will dyno at soon to get true comparison numbers (before and after).
I'd guess it will make between 450-465whp on a dynojet.

i should go on the street and put it in 6th at like 2k rpms and then floor it and watch my boost gauge.

Interested in seeing the pics including the exhaust.
Shot of the recirc'd wastegate location into the downpipe:

Exhaust shots. 3 inch, all mandrel bends:

Canister is Apexi N1 80mm. Got it from ebay for like $240. Love it. I'll get some pics of it from the outside later and post them up. Very aggressive sound and look.

How close does the manifold come to the oil filter? Is there enough room to install a sandwich plate for an oil cooler between the filter?
Definitely not. The coolant fitting for the oil cooler has to be shortened for clearance. This fitting is included with the kit.

Are you worried about the A/C line being so close to the downpipe in the area without heat shielding?

Is there a bracket between the turbo and cross member or does it actually rest right on it?
The A/C line that isn't behind the heat shield is heat wrapped. A/C blows ice cold. No issues whatsoever so far.

Turbo does not rest on the cross member. It is held in place by the manifold. I've been monitoring all the bolts and none have backed out so far. The manifold to turbo bolts are grade 8.

[QUOTE=shadwsndst,Sep 21 2009, 12:59 PM]Great numbers and impressive kit.
