Stock clutch on greddy or comptech
I put a SC kit on my car with 100k miles on original clutch, upped the boost to 8psi shortly after. Put 50k miles on clutch since and still going strong until I did a f22 swap and picked up another OEM clutch at that point. Now making more trq and boost is 9psi. I would recommend a stiffer PP. OEM friction disc is just fine. I also run a 8lb flywheel too which has helped save the clutch. I don’t think I would have as many high boosted miles on a stock flywheel set up. To much spinning inertia for the clutch to grab, wears it out quicker.
^^^True, trq with a Turbo comes on at a lower rpm and is there over a broader range, typically hitting harder/all at once, this puts more stress on the clutch. SC builds trq progressively as boost increases. This is easier on the clutch and all of the drivetrain for that matter.
Have you considered this clutch? This clutch offers the best drivability of any aftermarket clutch I have driven with superior build quality:
