Default The Struggle is Real...Another KW Kit Issue

I stated this one problem in Chef's thread, but since I starting a new one I will start with this issue I had the other day. I was coming to a traffic light and stopped a little harder on purpose to test the brakes some. When I did that the car wound up stalling for some reason and I couldn't get it started. My battery is less than a year old so I knew it wasn't that. A nice passer by proved that point when we tried jumping the car just in case. I thought my fuel level might have been low even though I had about 8 bars left on the digital readout, but a friend came by with some extra gas and that wasn't it. I then checked the fuse box in the kick panel and come to find out it was a blown fuse. I swapped the 15amp washer motor fuse into the fuel pump spot and it started right up. So I'm not quite sure what could have caused that fuse to blow, but at least that was a simple fix.

So now that brings me today's issue. I was on my way to the Honda dealership to get my oil changed. As I'm getting very close to the dealership I noticed that I wasn't hearing the BOV anymore. So I figured maybe a vacuum line blew off or something. I'm literally right in front of the dealership at this point and I get out of the car and open the hood to find that the cog belt is ripped in half somehow! So I guess I will be sending Kraftwerks another email to get this issue resolved and have a new belt sent out. At least the car drives fine without the belt on so I was able to get it home no problem. Am I the first one with this issue and having the cog belt rip like that?

I don't know why these issues keep happening to me. I don't track the car, I don't launch the car from first gear. I drive around normally 95% of the time shifting between 3.5-5k rpms. The only time I really get on the car is if I'm entering on the highway in 2nd or 3rd gear or the occasional romp down the road for a little fun. Other than that I drive the car pretty casually so I can't believe stuff keeps breaking the way it does when I hardly even abuse the car or the kit.

I know why it happens to you, karma man, karma. If you have a boosted S you should not be taking your car to a Honda dealer for an oil change! Change your own oil at home, talk to your car, rub it gently with a soft cloth and all your issues should go away.

I had to lol at the title.

Who installed the kit? Never heard of a belt shredding before this, but the first thing I'd look at is pulley alignment. Are you sure the blower isn't locked up?

Lol, yeah I should probably do my own oil, but I get lazy with that anymore. I used to do it myself on all my cars through the years, but I have definitely slacked off as of recent.

Thanks man, I'm sure they will. I already sent CJ an email informing him of the situation so I'm hopeful that he will respond sometime Monday.

Thanks, I hope so too. I kinda laughed when I opened the hood, like really? But at least the car was still drivable so I was able to turn around and go home.

The shop is 4130 Performance Fabrication. They specialize in Honda's and have installed numerous KW kits before. They recently did a lot of work for Derek (boosted_s2k on Instagram) on his new setup. I didn't really mess with anything besides getting the belt out of there so it didn't fall into the crank pulley while driving home. When removing it though the pulley on the back of the supercharger does move so I assume the SC isn't locked up. Wayne, the shop owner is going to check over everything on Monday for me.

Lol, I'm sure that thought has actually crossed your mind a time or two.

Ever since that bolt broke on my kit while on the Dyno, I pretty much drive the same way. Which is another reason why I don't launch the car or do anything extreme with it. I basically baby it when driving except the occasional WOT run on the highway.
