I must be the exception. Almost 4000 miles of trouble free fun since I installed the kit. Granted, I had the kit issues many folks had. But it was only tying up my garage and it's not like you are gonna drive this car much in February, in Ohio. To be honest, I probably would have been looking to trade the S in for something else prior to boosting it. But now with 430hp, I think I will keep it!

You're not alone! 3,000+ trouble free miles on mine, and I drive it hard every time I get in it.

You know... I was just starting to think to myself that I hadn't heard anything regarding the KW kit recently. I'm going to check on my belt for signs of wear just in case.

Just a theory. I wonder with a cogged belt application such as this, if the belt is just too narrow or weak. It cant slip, so all the force is applied to the belt material. The higher the power the more belt strain there is too, by the engine twisting harder and faster. Obviously with this issue being more compounded in the lower gears ie; 1-2nd...

^all known issues with a cog drive. Some of us called this years ago. Belt slip is not always bad

Sorry to see this happen. How tight did you have the belt?

How about this issue? Snapped 2 of 3 vtec solenoid bolts. The rubber gasket is garbage too. It sent pieces of rubber into the oiling system!
