I'm waiting for the owner of the car to try an oem gasket.

We used the grams 320. But the sock prevented the level sensor from working. So we ditched the grams 320 for Walbro 450 with sos install kit.

The bolts were torqued. Then even further tightened and they still loosened up.

This is a major flaw in the kit
Then why has it only happened twice? Or do I remember incorrectly?
Because not everyone it happens to, decideds to post it online.

It happened 3 times 5o the same car within two days at the track

Was the same torque wrench always used? Might it be inaccurate?

Respectfully... These guys know what they're doing... Yes...the tools they're using are very repeatable. I've worked with them quite often. ...again... Respectfully.

Thank you. Brian

No worries, I have thick skin anyway, but no offence taken. I'm not trying to imply rain isn't capable, but we all make mistakes sometimes, or unknowingly have faulty tools.

When one car has 5 failures, and most others have none, it makes sense to look at other variables than the kit itself.

Again, I'm not calling anyone anything. Is it not ok to ask questions to try to determine the true root cause, instead of just blanket "this kit is crap" accusations with no solid data? Not looking for a flame war here, just dispassionate analysis.

Can't answer that question, but isn't there a grade above 10.9? Might be worth looking on mcmaster.com or someplace similar for a higher grade replacement. I would, but am stuck with just my phone at the moment.

Yea...no problem... I didn't take it offensively... Being that you don't personally know these guys I was simply trying to be clear on the fact that they do this kind of thing like you and I breathe air. They practice OEM Honda specs like their lives depended on it. I've known Joe and Dustin for more than 10 years and they also work very closely with King Motorsports.

Yes...Dustin doesn't always use the best words when posting but I assure you proper and appropriate practices are always followed... That's just his frustration talking.

Regarding "no solid data" we don't always CHOOSE to post ALL of our findings here...some things we prefer not to discuss.

No harm done Sir!
