Unhappy Super Charger vs Turbo (plz help)

I have always been partial to responsive engines, so when building something like an s2k, naturally I would want it to have good throttle response, to make it a dream to drive on a track... Although I do not mind the occasional pull on a straight road...

So with that in mind, how much horsepower could I get out a turbo set up, without it getting laggy... In other words, how bing of a turbo could the s2k spin without much lag...

Or would you recommend a SC setup? Just curious if this will be more straneous on the engine in the long run. Or if it may negatively affect how the engine revs?

Does 400whp sound like it will last a long time with a SC build?

SUMMARY QUESTION >>> Can a turbo setup yield more horsepower than a super charger setup, without compromising throttle/engine response? (is there an an ultimate track, turbo setup that is as good as SC and will do somewhat better pulls on the straights?)

What are your thoughts, recommendations? And I would plan on driving this thing quite a bit, not just a weekend car...

inlinepro's ball bearing kit spools at around 3k i believe, thats pretty damn early easily capable of 400,

turbo all the way, i just bought a comptech and wish i would of gone turbo
but i needed something that was a simple bolt on and didnt really need to go to a tuner
turbo will always yield more power and even come in earlier than the centrifugal chargers that most run
the downside on a track car is when a turbo kicks in it may be hard to control when going around a corner
i would get the kraftwerks supercharger, if i had the cash
but yeah, SEARCH!!!!!!!!!, and welcome to the forums theres a lot of info in here

If you are looking for 400HP here is what I would recommend.

Tubular Manifold (Sidewinder Preferably)
You will want an efficiant manifold as 400HP will only be a start if you are anything like me and most of us that started out like you.

3076R or 5857BB
Both have a good spool and great transient response)

Stock Head Gasket
There is no reason to lower the compression unless you set your goals much higher, and lowering the compression is not going to help the throttle responce.

I would highly recomend Mase's base kit it has everything you need and some.
