Well lets see what he knows about that car then. 350bhp is Maybe 310 whp so you do the math. It does not add up. 8 sec 60-120mph is moving. I will bet he has some exhaust, chip & maybe upgraded turbos...unless you can post some stock 0-60 times & 1/4 mile from a car mag.

also, Lotus v8 has the smallest displacement of all the v8 (3.5) even V6
today is much bigger than the 3.5 of Lotus.

 

I cannot see your post from this phone. I got 4.5 to 60...11sec to 100...13sec 1/4 mile at 113mph from a 2002 automobile mag test. Great numbers for sure & I love the car. I still think that guy's car is a low 12 sec car. I bet a 400whp turbo S would of kept pace just fine.

 

Yeah the S should have pulled given stck Lotus. My guess is the Lotus is modded, likely more boost. And the S2k isnt 414whp on a typical Dyno jet, it is likley closer to 360-380whp

This sucker is not cheap to fool around. Before I was able to mod my yellow, took me years to make sure I'm out of warranty.

Nice cars! and that vid was great. I think lotus was very conservative with the bhp just like they were in the 60's. I'll bet that engine is closer to 450bhp. Anyway, would love to see more vids lotus7 if you haved any

 

I think my aspirated S2000 super 7 can also compete in a 30mph roll with 414hp.

....but in the dead stop I can probably beat any 500hp....i think.

The lotus is a final eddition. They DYNO at 350 whp stock. And he's not stock. He's at 390whp and he's lighter than me and he's got a lot more tq than me.

 

Lol bashing my driving skills? What level have you gone to? I consider my self a very capable driver and either way it's not that hard to drive in a straight line lol.

The mods on the lotus are: up the boost by about 3 psi, no cats, exhaust, tune.
