Default Supercharger ?

Im ready to buy a complete Supercharger Kit.. ive done research but still want direct opinions to todays day. I do not daily drive my s2000 nor track it. Im looking into buying a simple kit that i can get over 400hp preferably 450whp with. Every opinion is appreciated and if you have links to your suggestions that would be great!

Thanks please dont yell at me

There have been several conversations on this subject.

400hp Supercharged

Unfortunately there is nothing "simple" about forced induction, especially the numbers you are talking about. I would take a look at some build threads and see what supporting mods were used to achieve that hp range. You'll see it is not as simple as slapping on a kit.

Read through the FI subforum:

Once done, you should have your answer.

Since this is a weekend driver and not track duty, it doesn't warrant a 450whp car - but that's just my opinion.

Also peak HP doesn't really matter on the street (unless you drive around town cruising at 7-8K RPM). What matters is midrange torque which will be in the RPM power-band you'll use most. Get a Novi 1200 setup, such as the SOS kit. It's ultra reliable and streetable. Swap pulleys for a smaller one and you'll have a nice mid-range torque profile.

450 with a supercharger is no easy task or cheap. Im running a comptech NOVI 1000 kit with a FMI and almost 10lb of boost and I'm hitting around 350hp.

400 is easy. Just need fuel, engine management and vortech, SOS or kraftwerks. Comptech is able as well as shown above but at its limits.

My vortech kit made 406 at 12.5 psi.
