We've had a lot of positive feedback on the Kraftwerks supercharger kits, as well as the CT-E Kits. I'd recommend the KW kit because it's an all-inclusive package that makes great power and it is intercooled.

TTS. No other way, and there's an amazing group buy discount going on right now. Do you want your kit to be maxed out out of box, or do you want room to grow to 20 psi ?

SOS stage 2 all the way here. I'm at 380whp on a conservative tune only running 8.3 psi of boost. There is no drilling or cutting or modification to the car. To me thats the best part about this kit. My car had 5,000 miles when I installed and I'm at 27k now and it drives better than stock. Perfect mid range and I can easily reach 400+ with a smaller pulley. I'm only running a 4.0 in pulley (one smaller than stock) right now. There are guys on 3.2 in pulleys with the same setup without problems making a lot more power.

I use my s the same as you... no track and no auto-x. Just a weekend and fun car that I take to work once a week. The gas mileage has stayed just as good and with making relatively low boost and high power, I suspect this will help with long term motor durability and reliability. Good luck in your search. I read everything I could find on these forums before making my decision. Make sure you do the same so you have no regrets or dont run into issues!

So you would be ok removing your AC, machining your crank pulley, using a blower with no warranty, running funny juice, and pushing 20 psi through an 8 rib belt? You can do most of this with the Kraftwerks kit and never have to rely on an 8 rib belt.

To put things in perspective, for 550whp the ZR1 runs an 11 rib belt.

Either a new SOS kit with NV1200 blower and upgraded racing heat exchanger or old comptech kit with the sos retrofit for the NV1200 blower will get you well clear of 400whp. The Paxton Novi 1200 blower is the important aspect here becuase it delivers a high enough cfm to get you to meet your higher expectations.

There are older vortech blowers with a high cfm impeller trim that will get you there as well. The older Novi 1000 and new nv1220 blowers dont produce as much cfm. 380-400whp on those is what you can typically expect. But 450-500whp plus on the 1200 and higher cfm trim vortech units.
still waiting to see what the new rotrex blower kits can do. You can't beat comptech or SOS reliability though regardless of power.

Firstly you don't lose your AC with this kit. Their 38-81 has a warranty. What's wrong with E85 funny juice? You can use their machined intake restrictor and run any psi you want. And no you don't need funny juice to run their kit!

They have a lot of belt wrap around the rotrex blower so I would suspect slippage to be minimal to non existent.

You can do most of this with the Kraftwerks kit, really??
Not sure where you got that info from. They are maxed out at 11.5 psi due to a small intercooler and small diameter piping.

Let's not spread conjecture or half truths here.

The base kit makes no more power than the KW kit. That's the problem with this kit, everyone is claiming you get the base kit amenities with the race kit output. You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's one or the other.

Show me how you will get 20 psi on the base kit with an e85 tune. I'm all ears.

Not sure what the base kit psi is exactly but it makes more than kw kit. 14-16 psi l believe. The race kit option is not that much more money and you can get more out of it that way. KW doesn't give you that option.

Who gives a s... If the base kit does 16 psi and then 18psi with race option. Nobody ever claimed 20 psi with the base kit. You get 20 psi with the 38-91. Oh yeah kw won't give that option. You want options tts. You want max out kw. Pretty simple.

TTS base kit is 10-12psi @ sea level.

To be clear there is the base kit known as the Supersport kit, the bottom mount kit (which removes the ac compressor and is suggested for racing purposes) and the Race kit which has a higher flowing I/C and 3" charge piping (capable of 16-18psi with the C38-81 or 18-20psi with the C38-91). This should clear everything up.
