What is the difference between a kit designed for racing purposes and a race kit?

Really? It is just how TTS has decided to name their kits...go to their website if you can't understand what I have said.

Amazing amount of misinformation and lack of understanding here.
Boost is not ONLY determined by blower speed. There are several other factors. C38 series blowers have a maximum factory specified speed of 12,000rpm input shaft speed which equates to 90,000rpm impeller speed. Exceeding this specification is NOT recommended by Rotrex. This does not mean it can't be spun faster for a lessened lifespan. Lessening the rev limit on an F20c or F22c engine is in most cases not the best for performance. These motors make power all the way to redline and in some cases beyond redline...lowering the rev limit simply chokes off available power...but will that work?...sure...not ideal though.

Where does it say in your paragraph whether the race kit requires or does not require the removal of ac?
Really?
Again...Supersport kit...comma...bottom mount kit (which removes the ac compressor and is suggested for racing purposes)...comma...and the Race kit (which has a higher flowing I/C and 3" charge piping) (capable of 16-18psi with the C38-81 or 18-20psi with the C38-91).

No, it was in reference to the air restrictor. You missunderstood.
tts's nomenclature is confusing as well.
