Default supercharger problems?

I'm new to this forum. I just purchased an 02 s2k and it came with a paxton supercharger. I had a few friends drive the car and they both said it didnt feel like it was running right(the supercharger wasnt working properly). They both said they think it's either blown or leaking boost..What should I look for when running through everything?

Could be the belt slipping or a boost leak between the couplers. Check the couplers...these are often overlooked...

Best,

I too am running a Paxton supercharger on my '02 S. Check the supercharger belt tension by rotating the belt (with your fingers) at the halfway point between the engine crank pulley and the belt's tension pulley. If you can rotate (without excessive force) the supercharger belt about 90 degrees, its tension is correct. Do not overtighten the belt as this could lead to bearing failure in the supercharger. If the belt is too loose, it will slip at higher rpms.

take it to a dyno.

your friends who drove it, do they own a SC'ed S2k? like others said, the belt might be slipping, the blower can be bad or maybe you need to adjust the Comptech EMS

I've never drivin in a stock s2k but my friends both have.It dosent feel like a cut in power at all. at an idol you can kinda hear the whistle, then when you start driving you cant really hear it anymore.I've never owned a forced induction vechicle so it's all new to me.
