I did a search and couldn't find anything. Anyone know the approximate weights of the Vortech and Comptech superchargers? Thanks.

 

I weighed the two boxes Comptech shipped me (one with the SC, one with the AC). THey totalled about 50 lb. This includes the shipping materials of course. But, it doesn't include the water in the AC.

Not much weight, but it is ALL in front of the front wheels. I considered moving from a spare to a 12V compressor and some fix-a-flat stuff but I think that would bias the front wheels even more.

 

the comptech supercharger kit weights exactly 45lb but once you remove all the necesary oem parts to fit the kit you only end up ading 28lb to the car you can compremise that weigth by changing your exhaust and header to lighter ones matter effect you will have less weight then stock if you do it wright and gain more power from your sc
