Supra PCV install DIY
im sorry but I am kinda confused about the scrap pieces of pcv hose that you use to cover the nipples. Do you have any pictures that shows this. From what I understand you push the entire supra pcv into the 1/2" hose far enough to fit the end of the hose over the stock pcv on the valve cover. So what would be the need for any scrap hose? Thanks in advance

In other words it fits better with the hose bits.
The Supra valve has two size nipples and one happens to be larger than the S2k's. By stepping the nipples up a size with scrap hose the larger hose fits snug. Think of them as reducers. You can just use a few pieces of hose to make it work, but i thought it was kind of ugly. I'm under my hood today if anyone needs pictures.
AHH I get it now thank you guys so much! Do either of you guys have this mod installed to reduce oil consuption on an early AP1? I know this is mainly a FI mod but I have read about people using this mod to basically solve their oil consumption problems. Can any of you guys testify to this or have any advice.
i just went and bought the supra pcv, hose, and clamps (all for $6 haha) now Im wondering would it be more benificial for me to install the pcv valve on the tube that goes into the actually intake tube or the one from the factory pcv valve into the intake manifold. Advanced auto parts only had one pcv valve so Im just wondering where i should install this one to handle my oil consumption problem
^^I was trying to solve two problems. Boost in the crankcase (Supra PCV) and oil vapors and gunk getting returned to the intake (catch can). I placed the small filter on the end of the front breather hose so that the motor can vent (out under boost, in when the PCV is open).
For whatever reason my car has never really used very much oil, especially after about 30K. I have about 44K on the car now and I use Schaeffers synthetic.

Well i went ahead and installed the one supra pcv on the factor pcv hose. Now im curious. Will this actually work if I dont install one on the hose that goes into the intake tube or is needed to run two. Like i said earlier the store only had one pcv but i could try to find another store that has one.

If it were me I'd just top up the oil level as needed. The PCV mod, while not really needed, won't hurt anything either.
Yea its just really aggervating that honda is aware of the oil problem with the early ap1s and they refuse to do anything about it. I have read great comments on using this mod to help compensate the oil problem but I would hate to create problems else where.
