All this is, is a check valve. I had one on my Srt-4! There are companies that make them but they cost quite a bit more than if you DIY. Good write up.

 

I have supra pcv's and they do work....... but i just noticed noises that everyone refers to, kinda like a belt slipping or a bunch of little birds traped under my spark plug cover meep meep....meep....meepmeepmeep.. If you remove the front pcv you will no longer have vacuum in the crankcase....

I have krank vents installed in my AP1. Should I remove the front one and leave just 1 installed?

 

leave it in

still have my supra PCV's and not a problem

 

Depends on your setup. I removed my front one and left the pcv check just to keep boost out. The Supra valves work flawlessly, but the car doesn't always. The spark plug seals can be quite annoying if your unlucky. The worst for me though was the crankshaft seal on the lower timing chain cover. It honestly sounded like a hooptie with a slipping AC belt. The noise was so loud I could hear it echoing off of buildings. It didn't do it for about 4 months, so be warned, they may cause seal damage in that area. I removed the front vent and the car now idles better, and is quiet.

 

Are you running a sealed catch can as well? Get much oil in it?

You have the Supra PCV valves inline with the stock S valve as well as the vent on the front of the valve cover?

 

I can't find the 1/2" to 3/8" couple for this anywhere I've gone to Lowes and Home Depot. As well Autozone, Kragen, and Pep boys. All I can find is 3/8 to 3/8 and 1/2 to 1/2.

 

i got mine at lowes. i had to go to 3 different lowes just to find one a while back

 

no catch can and i did leave the stock pcv valve in...
