If you buy all new, you're looking at about $14-15K. That's about what I paid for everything from the adapter plate back to the ford 8.8/stage 5.9 DSS axle kit.

That was with the transmission I bought new from Supra store. This is what I have from the motor back

Full Blown V160 Adaptor Kit - $995.00
Clutch Masters Twin Disk Clutch - $2300
Supra V160 - $5995.20
V160 Transmission fluid - $90.00
New OEM Toyota Shifter, Transmission Mount Bolts, etc - $317.71
Full Blown 8.8 Rear End Conversion Kit with Aluminum Driveshaft and DSS Stage 5.9 axles - $3695.00
Ford Racing Aluminum 8.8 housing with upgraded cover - $559.95
Richmond 4.10 gears - $201.00
Richmond Master Install Kit - $121.00
Eaton Posi LSD - $447.00
ARP Ring Gear Bolts - $37.00
ARP Main Cap Studs - $29.95
Speedohealer V4 - $114.99
Misc Fittings Bolts, etc. - about $50.00

So total is roughly $14953.09, it's just an estimate, cause I couldn't find all the receipts and some of the stuff doesn't account for shipping. But this is all brand new stuff, nothing used.

ok, but assuming you already have the rear end complete, here is an estimate with a used v160
(which on average sale between 35-4200 depending on miles and year)...

30$ Tranny fluids (if you go with royal purple syncromesh)
700$ DSS Driveshaft
1000$ Full Blown Motorports V160 Swap Kit with shifter, adapter plate, and everything else needed
2200$ Clutchmasters Twin Disk Setup for this Swap
85$ New Toyota Tans mount
90$ New OEM Flywheel bolts
100$ Dakota digitial/speedohealer
3900$ V160 6 speed 1996 getrag transmission with shifter and bracket (this will vary depending on miles, ues, etc.)
95$ estimated misc expenses- bolts, parts, etc...

total= 8200$

Now subtract about a 1000$ from selling your clutch and oem transmission and its down to 7200$ est.
Otherwise, just use the money you make from selling your old stuff as compensation for labor charges, etc at a shop.

so a fair total for this swap (not included diff/rearend build) should be anywhere between 6500-8500$ IMO

yeah, I just wanted to help everyone for the total cost of the complete swap from the adapter plate to the rear end with all brand new stuff. This will be close to the maximum you would pay for the complete drivetrain swap.

The cost will definitely be cheaper if you go with the stock housing and find a used transmission.
