That's for sure.

One thing with the Ford 8.8 rear end, it's a lot cheaper for replacement parts and there is a lot wider selection of gears. from 3.08's all the way to 5.14's

thats exactly how i feel, which is why i regret all of it. like you said, just think of the house money man.
it really is an addiction, because everyone wants their ride perfect.
im thinking about finally selling mine so i can get out of this addiction. Its hard to stop once your this deep into it
its like a all-out or all-in sorta thing

I'm in a similar situation. Cost of the second house will dictate my car fund; V160 is happening, just no definitive time table

sometimes I wonder how i got my car to this point, I remember thinking my car was fast with an aem cold air and my apexi exhaust lol, then the full race prostreet w/ a gt30r kit blew my mind and I thought I would never need more power, look at us now, turning this car into a freaken rocket ship with a hybrid of drivetrain components from fords and toyotas more than trippling the stock power, is it worth it...to me..yes, no turning back now

Let me ask this stupid question, why not just go with a PAR, PPG gears? Could I use the same CC Stage 4 clutch I have now? What else would I need with that? It may not be as strong as the V160, but seems a hell of a lot cheaper when it's all said and done. I only make 450ft lbs of torque, with no real ability (or need) to make more, I am sure it can handle it? The v160 just seems like wayyyyyy too much money when it's all said and done. MY wife is due this saturday and spending 15k on a 15 year old Toyota transmission would get me F---- killed

The problem with the par and ppg setups is you use a stock trans case and they crack at the output shaft housing when making a lot of torque.
