yea my idling temps are around 700ish and 1200 while cruising. 2000 degree coating shouldn't ever fail.

I haven't had any problems with my HPC Coating. I'll never do business with Jet-hot again.

OT but where did you get your dual slim fal fans and how much? I got my koyo radiator and the stock fans looks like there going to be real close to my IC piping. Thanks.

send it to jethot. their coatings make HPC's look like tonka toys. if someone has a bad experience, id say its the customer, not the company. i have a very large circle of influence ( i network) and all of my fast evo buds have jethot. not a single issue. all the aircooled guys, jethot. later dave

My IR gun only goes up to 500F. My runners are around 300-500F and the center collector is over 500F (gun just maxes out).

It is HPC silver coated 1200F, has not flaked or cracked. I dont daily drive the car but ive driven 4hrs non stop to key west in 90deg heat without a problem.

Has HPC told you why it flaked?

HPC believes my EGTs are too high and has caused their coating to fail. I think they are simply trying to blame my tune for their crappy product. Although I won't know for sure until my EGT gauge is hooked-up, I do not believe they are as high as HPC would like to believe. My AFR does not once exceed 11.5, so the car is running pretty rich and far from lean. I have about 19 degrees of ignition timing to around 4000 RPMs where it starts tapering off to about 16 degrees at 7500 RPMs, so very little timing has been put into the car.

So its my fault jet hot forgot to spray part of my downpipe and when I told them specifically not to spray inside the bung for the 02 sensors they still did. I don't know how many parts they have coated and they still don't know better then to spray over everything. Thats just being plain biased. Obviously if none of your friends have had HPC coating done then how would you know Jet hot is better and what kind of facts do you have?

Hey maybe you had a bad experience. i dont know what happended. i can tell you this, jet hot's technology makes HPC look like junk. sorry thats just truth. as for threads being coated?? who cares. thats what a thread chaser is for. every last piece needs to be coated. they know better than you, and im sure thats why they did what they did. if there are spot where an edge exists, there is more chance for coating failure. so everything needs a good coat.
ive never heard one good thing on HPC coatings, since way back. my buds v8 headers coatings were coming off. then he had em done at jethot, they still look good today, 10 years later. doesnt matter, people are gonna buy what they buy. bottom line is, when you look at the technology, one is obviously better than the other.
Jet Hot coated all of my manifold and mating surfaces the first time around and I had problems with it sealing to the head. I pulled it back off and sent it back and they stripped it and re-coated it minus the flange faces and it only cost me shipping of around $30. Fixed the sealing issue all together.

You have to specifically tell them if you don't want something coated or they will do the whole thing because it's the best thing to do.

I have had problems with HPC high temp coatings on a ss honda manifold. The coating turned white and flaked off. Suppose to be good to 2000 F. Junk and waste of $500.
