Where did you get the figure of $450 for a kpro? Those units are a lot more expensive then that. $325 for conversion parts is right. I assume you are going to do all the work yourself?

I have an SOT kit and really like it. It is very solid, but I have maybe 8,000 miles on it. If you have a 2004 or 2005 it probably makes a great choice. You need to find the email for James at SOT. I think he has the parts and is still selling them.

As far as going back to stock, you can go back to NA pretty easy, but stock is another thing. You have to cut the battery cable when you move it and I think there might be another minor thing or two that would be hard to go back to factory stock, but not difficult to go back to a fairly clean NA.

I already have the K-Pro in my RSX. $450 is what Hondata charges to convert it for use in the S2000 (seems high IMO, but I don't know exactly what chages are required. plus you get a wiring harness with that price).

I turn all my own wrenches unless it's something I don't have the equipment for, like A/C work or tire mounting/balancing. Full suite of hand tools, air tools, e/g hoist & stand, etc etc in the garage.

Cool thanks for the info. I emailed SOT from their contact page on their website several days ago, and have gotten no response. Does anyone have James' direct email?

Oh yeah, this is for an '04.

And back to NA is really all I would be interested in. Bone stock is not so important, although I have the parts/tools at hand to fab a new battery cable if needed.

What did you end up doing for A/C lines? I seem to remember hearing it's possible to bend them, or that you would have to go to an a/c shop and have new lines made up. If you had new lines, how much did that cost you? Here in KY I cringe to think of giving my car to an a/c shop for custom lines. Not the best mechanics around these parts.

Found this article about self lubed blowers oil temp vs motor oil temp. An interesting read if nothing else...

Edit - another one of the same thing - http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ort_mafia.html

there's a guy that sells a/c line relocation kit on here, costs $225, routes it behind the engine and down the passenger side of the bay.

above 300/base of the s/c, i'd go with an EMS (kpro in your case). And at that point, you should just go for 400whp, which you'll probably get at ~12 psi with any of the newish blowers (novi 1200+, vortech v3) in the centrifugal kits.

also I just checked and the RC injectors I have are 440's. Will those be sufficient for the 350-400hp range?

If not... Anyone want to buy some RC 440's?

This is all I have:

contact_sot@stageonetuning.com

WLaurent, Neptuner, and MugenRio(Mark) are all runnning them. You may be able to find James direct email from them. I had a different email address at one time for him I think but can not find it.

I just went thru 1000 emails looking for James' direct email as well. I had been looking to buy one, but then Camuman (anthony) sold me his so I got rid of all of James' info.

When you get it running please post up on your impressions after he had the ported unit rebuilt. He never seemed to be sure what cause the failure and I am still curious about porting.
