Default Switching To A Return Fuel System

I am on my second s2000 now, first was an 07 and now I have an 08 cr. Both of which are returnless fuel systems. Now I have been in the market for a turbo kit and all I am hearing is that with a returnless system I wont be able to make as much hp and I wont get the most potential out of the kits. So now I am looking to switch from a returnless sytem to a return system and am wondering if anyone has any past expierence with this or any other helpful information. Also if anyone knows how much parts for this will cost. I will most likely be able to do this myself I believe, so labor isnt really an issue but if for some reason I can't if anyone knows how much labor will cost that would be great. Any extra info on the topic would be much appreciated, sorry for the long post, Mike

wait a lil bit and see what mase and others do to work around the 06+ returnless system.

i saw it mentioned a few times, kennebell uses a boost a pump to raise pressure. just juices the fuel pump with more voltage. one dude made 478 on 91 octane with i think 35psi of pressure at the rail and 1000cc injectors. use the boostapump to raise pressure, and i think you may hit your 550-600 mark.

point is, wait a month or so, at least see what mase thinks can be done. i beleive he is the only one currently persuing a work around.

Ya i like mase's kit alot but not really sure when he will be done. From what i hear about him he does great work and is the definition of quality stuff. Waiting is definatly a posibility, seeing as how i dont want to rush into this anyways. Id rather get it done right the first time around. Id still like some info on the swap though if anyone has it.

they do it on the RSX all the time, just need a fuel rail, a FPR and run a line back to the fuel pump as a return line

I agree. For a while now I've been thinking about just getting the OEM hardline from a <06. It can't be that hard to install as the hardware is already on the car.

Nothing better than solving the issue than working around it.

Unless there is something I'm not seeing here. I thought someone already did this.

yeah, I know there are people here running dual walbros where they have changed out their lines and are running FPRs with AN fittings and Stainless lines

i've worked with both types of fuel systems. Do you have a stand alone or doo they make one for the returnless s2000? if so or if you are planning on it getting a stand alone ecu then just stay with the returnless. keep in mind that you have to always go larger size injectors compared to a return line system. other then that they work fine.

well the problem is at a certain point you are pushing too hard against the FPR and you end up with too low psi for the fuel to atomize correctly. Most people running 10 lbs kits are seeing 30 psi or lower at the rail at WOT, any lower and you can start to see issues

id worry about hitting the 450 mark before u go past it.. thats plenty power until you're ready to hit over 500
