I am on my second s2000 now, first was an 07 and now I have an 08 cr. Both of which are returnless fuel systems. Now I have been in the market for a turbo kit and all I am hearing is that with a returnless system I wont be able to make as much hp and I wont get the most potential out of the kits. So now I am looking to switch from a returnless sytem to a return system and am wondering if anyone has any past expierence with this or any other helpful information. Also if anyone knows how much parts for this will cost. I will most likely be able to do this myself I believe, so labor isnt really an issue but if for some reason I can't if anyone knows how much labor will cost that would be great. Any extra info on the topic would be much appreciated, sorry for the long post, Mike
Before you go off and do something, what are your power goals? The returnless fuel system is capable of 500 WHP with the right tuner.

Best advice: wait for Mase's DBW kit to release before making a decision. Trust me, I wasted $7000 on a POS KW setup because I didn't have enough patience to wait for a real FI solution. Mase is currently developing the DBW kit on my 07. It will be out before the summer is over.

how is the KW kit a POS, it makes 360 whp, if you are looking at 500+ whp then you shouldn't have purchased the KW kit.

I know several people who track the KW kit all the time with no issues

Wrong thread to get into this but here's the short story.

Timeline:
1. KW released a dyno showing 409 WHP
2. KW promised an even higher boost pulley would be released later
3. Met OJR at SEMA and discussed all of this in person, assurances were made
4. Gave KW non-refundable deposit
5. KW ships and oh by the way only 365 WHP
6. KW says don't worry we're still coming out with a higher boost pulley that will be over 400 WHP
7. KW cancels higher boost pulley

I should have known better as these are the same people that ran Jackson Racing but what can I say, they were the only game in town.

You will see more failures as people start putting more mileage on their kits.

Now please stop bothering me about KW, if you love their kit please go post in their thread. If you want to discuss it further PM me and I'll educate you on KW.

To the OP, kewl whip has a point about figuring out your power goals before investing the money, although please remember that on a returnless system as you reach redline under boost, the boost pushes back against the FPR and lowers your pressure.

This causes the spray pattern to deteriorate as the fuel is not atomized properly. So although you can "get away" with running "x psi" you should really evaluate how much you are wanting to push the fuel pressure.

And if you read your post, all you are doing is griping about speculation, if everyone went off what manufacturers "promised" we would all be screwed with adapted dyno numbers.

Also, bear in mind, you are the guinea pig for Mase, he is a well known tuner, but there could still be initial issues with his kit, it just goes with anything that is released aftermarket...its called revisions.
You are cute...

Well I am looking for about 450whp. But obviously later on in life I am sure I will wnt more and at that point I will most likely switch to a return system. So I figured Id just take care of it now. Its rather inexpensive and doesnt require to much labor. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this, but I cant see how doing this would create any problems down the line, it seems like the problems will only come from the returnless sytem.

Just an FYI but Tony at T1 tuned berlinas2k's using a full race kit and was able to get 478 WHP on only 91 octane.

You can certainly convert the fuel system now but if it were me I would wait. For one, you might be completely satisfied with 450. Second, a better replacement for the returnless fuel system may come out later so why do it now. Third, why spend the money if you don't need to. Just food for thought.

To the OP,

have you ever driven an FI s2000 ? I have a vortech kit on my 07 and made 350whp and I'm more than happy with that. Its just enough power for the track on the small technical tracks its even a disadvantage. Have you tracked your car as is ? The CR is great on track out of the box I'm sure adding boost would make it even better but only if you can handle it ; )

Right now I am waiting to see what Mase does with his kit. Pretty much narrowed down to that or the inline kit. I spoke with ya and christian at inline and they both mentioned not really getting the full potential from the kits with the returnless system. Also from what I have read with around 400-450 whp it will really be pushing the fuel system hard and may lead to problems down the road. So, I am stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place on this. Some people just say change it now some say wait, some say ill run 450 fine on it some say I wont. So i really am not 100% sure on what i am gonna do atm.
