Not necessarily. My car doesn't make a sound when I open the gas cap (granted, I removed my emissions devices removed; venting to the atmosphere). My gas cap clicks as expected when tightening and my car (thus far) get excellent gas mileage.

WTF why is my gas mileage so horrible I wish I could get 25mpg+
My afr is
12.0-13.5 at idle
14.5-15.5 cruising
11-11.7 in boost
using id1000 I average around 21-24mpg

I dunno why my idle is soo rich. My tuner was saying it's because I have an aem v1, and it wont let it go into close loop on idle or something so I have to have a rich idle I'm unsure if that's true.
My car idles perfect though
my tuner said something similar... the AEM doesn't run well on a leaner idle. which i have seen for myself.

I just got a new tune so i'll see what i get now.. but i used to get similar mileage to p0staboy. I'm supercharged.

thats complete horseshit. i am not a pro tuner, and mine idles 14.5-15.5 no problem at all. maybe with rc injectors idling sucked, but bosch or ID is fine. tell him to spend more time tuning it. lazy f@#kers.

haha wtf at least I know he wasn't lying now. It looks like I need to make another appointment, and get re-tuned. I just came from rc750cc maybe its still set up from those and he didn't re-tune idle M**hafu**a!
Who the hell is tuning your car..............? Mike @ autowave did mine, 1000cc ID's and I sit at 15:1/15.5:1 at idle.

Yeah Mike is the who told me the car won't idle correctly with aem v1. I'm gonna have to give him a call if it's b*llsh*t
My idle isn't great to be honest, it was perfect like stock on my tune. HOWEVER, when on the throttle this is a great tune he did, I'm very happy with it in all areas except idle. I had another inherent issue in relation to some vacuum components sticking that could be part of it so I'd never try to pin him down on this. I may give him a ring soon and ask him to touch it up a bit.

As for V1 and idle, mine HAS been PERFECT. As of this moment it sometimes will lug really hard at say 500rpm then slowly learn up to 900rpm over 10 seconds or so, very annoying. The V1 does seem to have an issue with this part where it'll bog when you go to (N) say up to a redlight for example.
