after looking at the choice of 70 mm exhaust you used i realized that there is no resonator.i wonder if that is the missing link in this test?

it looks like the Vtec cross over was changed.....

was Bisi tuning each exhaust set up individually to maximize performance? Or did he just use the same tune for each?

yeah vtec was changed on the smaller exhaust. im sure if vtec was changed on the other bigger exhaust it would have made better mid range power. not sure if it would have been better than the smaller exhaust though.

Both the 3 inch and the j's resonator is very small. But I doubt that it would have affected any of the results, because the power change was too significant.
I was not testing the resonated flow nor any of the bends associated with different exhaust. I just took the best power adding exhaust (according to everyone) and tested them to see what the results were for my personal use.

He tuned each for maximum performance !! They all have different tunes.
We all know the changes in the exhaust changes the tunes, so why risk my engine.
( just in case I wanto change my exhaust later on)

3 inch is for the track
63mm is for the street since it has more tq and hp.

That is what everyone thinks, but im sorry to say that the car was SHTTTT with the 70mm and lower vtec.
Bisi tunes according to what the car likes because each car is unique in its own way. He doesnt follow a "set" tune because what might work for one car might not work for the other.
The tune I had before I went to Bisi had the vtec set at 3800 WTF !!!! It was horrible !
the car felt very unstable and not right.

The only change I did was 3 inch mid section split into 3" straight through mufflers vs same 3" midsection into 2.5 off center to center mufflers. (for more quiet and to fit the OEM tips, both setups using Magnaflows) Bisi was guessing that I would probably run rich and lose a little power.

But Im' very satisfied with the sound level.

I've been reading this thread with great interest.

So am I gathering correctly that if I get a Js or CT header for my SC I'm wasting my money? I have Invidia exhaust (I may replace, but I really like the way it sounds).
