Many tuners aim for 14:1 to 17.5:1 at part throttle. 14.7:1 is best for the environment/pollution. Generally, leaner = better mileage. The exact #'s depend on the setup.

You're absolutely correct. while depending upon the motor configuration, many engines wont combust past about 16.0:1.

13.7:1 is no where near stoich, the OP is not getting the most that he could.

however, with that being said, the OP is getting decent gas mileage. I often see AEM's uego be way off, and do not like to rely soley on them. I rate theirs amongst the worst in terms of reliability and repeatability. so who knows maybe you are running leaner and just dont know it lol

can anyon give me a DIY on tuning my AEM EMS for partial throttle load such as this, I got a few big long straight roads around and a laptop with a computer friendly passenger who is willing.

I understand the basic concept but not the details and parameters. Anyone have a DIY on this? It'd perhaps save us all some money on gas if nothing else. I'm pig rich on partial throttle load.

have you setup your o2 feedback? If not, run your 0-5v from your WB to C16 on the ECU wiring harness.

I would read the EFI and EMS manual that comes with the software package. Its invaluable in learning how to work everything.

In regards to setting up the partial throttle tuning, i would log it and then make adjustments. For partial throttle, my timing is mid 40's on low load situations. Every setup is different and you really need to go log it yourself, or get someone else to do it for you (a good tuner)
